In 1971 directors Ernie Marshall and Brian Richardson established the Downderry Group and began building houses on their first site at Downderry in Cornwall.
To date the Building  Division has built over 2000 houses to individual specifications and design at over 50 locations throughout Cornwall earning it an envied reputation for consistent quality and professionalism.
The Construction Division is responsible for the installation of infrastructure on larger sites and manages the company’s extensive collection of plant equipment and machinery.
In 2001 sand and gravel extraction was added to the company’s activities and from an 18 acre site this operation produces river bed washed sand and gravels and offers the facility of exempt licensed landfill for restoration purposes.

The company has developed a consistent reputation for delivering quality properties and services and the directors continue to used their expert knowledge of the building and civil engineering industries, coupled with  prudent investment in land to develop a business capable of sustaining and enhancing the company’s prominent position in the local market.

The Groups head offices are based on part of its freehold industrial site at Beeching Park, Kelly Bray, Callington.  This comprises part of a diverse investment property portfolio including offices at Liskeard and other Industrial Units and Properties valued in excess of £3 million.
